Contemporary Architecture is basically a modernist movement in design that is adapted to contemporary settings. It includes both Modern and Vernacular Architecture with no dominant single style. In general, it refers to any architectural style that is popular at the present time.
Vernacular style is reflected in two of Arienza Architects’ housing projects. The Jasmine South Residences features canopies on stilts mimicking typical stilt fixtures in the windows of Filipino huts. Woodway Townhomes depicts houses on vertical wood slats, a typical vernacular design element.
